Professor Adrian Bull is Associate Director and BNFL Chair in Nuclear Energy and Society at the Dalton Nuclear Institute at The University of Manchester. He joined the University, following 40 years in the UK nuclear industry with BNFL, Westinghouse and latterly the National Nuclear Laboratory, where he was External Relations Director for 10 years. His Dalton activities focus on Government policy around nuclear and energy, and on stakeholder and community engagement.

Adrian is also a part time consultant for US-based specialist communications consultancy Full On Communications, the President-Elect of the Nuclear Institute (beginning a 2-year term as President in January 2026), and the UK representative on the OECD-NEA High Level Group on Stakeholder Engagement, Trust, Transparency and Social Science.

Christianna Logan is the Director of Customer and Stakeholder Engagement at SSEN Transmission, one of the world’s fastest growing electricity network companies and part of SSE plc, a FTSE 100 energy company.

Christianna has worked in various roles across SSE for over 17 years, covering strategy, business development, sustainability, and innovation, across both markets based and regulated parts of the energy industry. In her executive role, Christianna has collective accountability for delivery of over £22bn of investment in large capital projects and management of SSEN Transmission’s critical national infrastructure assets. Christianna and her team build stakeholder relationships that will enable delivery of this investment in new assets, manage contracts to connect large low carbon energy projects to the GB network, and advocate for a policy environment that can deliver on Government and societal ambitions and provide enduring benefits to the local communities hosting the infrastructure.

Christianna also chairs SSEN Transmission’s Digital Subcommittee and is enthusiastically championing digitalisation and ethical adoption of AI in the organisation.

Clare Foster is a partner and Head of Clean Energy at law firm Shepherd and Wedderburn LLP and also leads the firm’s project finance practice. As a dual qualified project finance lawyer, she has been involved in the UK energy sector for nearly 30 years. Clare advises on UK projects spanning the sector, including offshore (fixed, floating and tidal), onshore (wind, solar, hydro, battery storage and biomass), energy efficiency and other decarbonisation projects (including carbon sequestration) and regularly leads the S+W team on clean energy transactions. She led the Edinburgh Climate Compact from inception and is a former director of RenewableUK. Clare is ranked in the Legal 500 "Hall of Fame" and was awarded "Lawyer of the Year" at the 2024 Legal 500 Awards.

He then went on to hold a number of senior commercial and marketing roles before moving into public affairs and Government relations. When Hitachi Energy was created in July 2020 Dai moved into his current role working on energy policy and energy sector market and technology development. Key areas of focus including the energy transition, delivering net-zero, offshore grids and the decarbonisation of transport.

His role covers NWF’s activities across both the public and private sectors. The UK Infrastructure Bank (UKIB) was launched in June 2021 and has now become the NWF to provide £27.8bn to drive investment and growth across the UK. Prior to joining UKIB, Eddie was an Executive Director at the Scottish National Investment Bank, and Head of Corporate Finance at Edinburgh-based merchant bank Noble & Co. Earlier in his career he established Clydesdale Bank’s first renewable energy team and its project finance product offering.

Fiona is a Senior Manager and Hydrogen Lead at the Carbon Trust, where she oversees the global Clean Hydrogen Platform and formerly led the UK’s Clean Hydrogen Innovation Programme (CHIP). With over 17 years’ of experience within the hydrogen sector, she is a specialist in delivering large-scale innovation programmes across the UK, Europe, and international markets.

Fiona’s expertise covers the full hydrogen value chain, from midstream technology and transport decarbonisation to the integration of offshore wind. She currently advises emerging markets on building international hydrogen hubs, helping nations secure a leading position in the global hydrogen sector. 

Prior to her current role, she was the Delivery Manager for the University of St Andrews’ Hydrogen Accelerator and spent seven years leading Scotland’s hydrogen deployment through the Scottish Cities Alliance and Aberdeen City Council. Fiona is highly regarded for bridging the gap between policy, R&D, and commercial implementation to accelerate the global energy transition.

Prior to joining Zero Waste Scotland, Jane gained extensive experience collaborating with public and private sector organisations, addressing a wide range of priority issues such as strategy development and implementation, influencing consumption behaviours, fostering partnerships, engaging with multiple sectors, and delivering services for reuse and recycling. Jane is also committed to driving innovation within her industry, regularly serving as a judge for national awards that recognise innovative practices. Johanna Money is part of the Energy Transition team at Scottish Enterprise and serves as the organisation’s marine energy sector lead. Jo has led Scottish Enterprise’s marine work since 2020, having previously been part of the foresighting team from 2015. Before joining Scottish Enterprise, she was Ocean Energy Manager at the Scottish European Green Energy Centre (SEGEC), and prior to that she managed the policy portfolio of offshore wind, wave and tidal energy at Scottish Renewables.

Keith Bell holds the Scottish Power Chair in Future Power Systems at the University of Strathclyde. He joined Strathclyde in 2005 after roles as a university researcher and as a system development engineer with National Grid. He is a co-Director of the UK Energy Research Centre. In 2019 he became a member of the UK’s Climate Change Committee. A Chartered Engineer and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Edinburgh, he has advised the Scottish, UK and Irish governments and Ofgem on electrical energy and power systems issues and is active in CIGRE, the International Council of Large Electric Systems.

Prior to this role, Lee-Ann held the position of Head of Group Media and Digital at SSE plc for nearly nine years, where responsibilities included leading a team in media relations, stakeholder engagement, and strategic counsel to senior executives. Lee-Ann's background also includes lead communications campaigns for the Scottish Government and Learning and was previously a journalist at the Daily Record.

CIP is the world’s largest investor in greenfield renewable infrastructure, and as UK Project CEO Malcolm oversees the UK BESS pipeline, including the construction of 3 * 500MW / 1000MWh BESS projects, each of which will be the largest in Europe when they become operational.  

Malcolm has worked in the energy sector for over 20 years.  Prior to joining CIP, he held various leadership roles at ScottishPower, where, as Business Development Director, he oversaw the Development and Commercial teams.  In this role he grew the onshore renewables pipeline to 6GW, acquired c700MW of solar and onshore wind projects, secured corporate PPAs and CFDs for wind and solar, and secured investment across wind, solar, and BESS projects.  Malcolm is a Chartered Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Edinburgh.

Mark joined the CCSA in December 2024 as UK Director. He leads efforts to advocate for a robust policy and regulatory framework to advance the UK’s carbon capture and storage (CCS) sector.  Mark and the UK team are dedicated to supporting the growth of CCSA member businesses and fostering a sustainable industry that delivers economic, environmental, and social benefits for the transition to net zero. This includes also working to strengthen connections between UK and EU markets.

With over a decade of experience in the energy and environmental sectors, Mark has worked closely with renewable energy developers, government ministers, civil servants, energy suppliers, grid operators, financiers, and traders. Before joining the CCSA, he served as Deputy Director of Policy at the Association for Renewable Energy and Clean Technology (REA), where he championed renewable and clean technologies across power, heat, and transport. Notably this included leading policy initiatives for BECCS development in the biomass power, waste-to-energy, and anaerobic digestion sectors.

Mark holds degrees from Cambridge University and the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society.

Matthew Knight is Head of Policy and Markets for Siemens Energy in the UK, where he spends his time making sense of the energy transition to net zero. He is a Chartered Engineer with a background in electricity grid projects and offshore wind farms.  

Matthew chairs the Government’s Hydrogen Production Working Group.

Past government engagement includes membership of the Renewables Advisory Board, Carbon Capture and Storage Taskforce, Wales Net Zero Challenge and other groups.  He is a previous Board member of Renewable UK and the IET Energy Policy Panel.

Matthew is passionate about customers, safety, collaboration and being a human being at work. He likes telling stories and is curious about the way culture drives human behavior and especially energy politics.

Michael Love is an experienced leader, non-executive director, and energy industry professional with nearly 15 years’ experience spanning the marine, oil and gas, and offshore renewables sectors. He holds Honours and Master's degrees from the University of Aberdeen.

Across his career, Michael has delivered programmes in multiple countries and held roles focused on project execution, policy development, consultancy, stakeholder engagement, strategic growth, regulation and legislation, and quality assurance. He has worked with a range of organisations to shape workforce capability, industry standards, and the wider skills ecosystem.

In his current role at OPITO – the global skills body for safety-critical industries – Michael leads engagement with international governments and industry, oversees labour-market intelligence and research functions, and is accountable for the organisation’s Advisory Services portfolio.

He also serves as a Board Member of NCFE, the Newcastle-based awarding organisation operating across the healthcare, social care, and sport and fitness sectors, where he sits on the Audit, Risk and Investment Committee.

Michael maintains memberships of the Chartered Quality Institute and Institute of Directors, sits on IOGP’s European Committee, and is part of GB Energy’s North East Taskforce.

Dr Philippa Parmiter is a strategic leader, dedicated to action on climate, and CEO of NECCUS, the industrial decarbonisation alliance for Scotland with the objective of achieving a thriving Scotland through decarbonisation. Previous roles include Development Manager (Gas Storage & Pipelines) at Crown Estate Scotland, and running the research consortium for CCS in Scotland, SCCS, for over ten years, delivering policy analysis, knowledge exchange, and business development. She is a Chartered Engineer with a PhD in Physical Electronics and a MSc in Environmental Protection and Management and has worked for government, academia, an environmental consultancy and for an electronics start-up.

She sits on the Scottish Energy Advisory Board, the Grangemouth Future Industry Leadership Forum and the CCUS Council, and also sat on the Innovate UK Industrial Decarbonisation Advisory Group and was an Independent Director on the Board of the UK Carbon Capture & Storage Association (2023-2024).

She has been involved in All-Energy for over a decade, supporting the delivery of conference sessions on industrial decarbonisation, and carbon capture, utilisation and storage.

Rob has spent over 10 years working in communication and government relations in the energy and environment sectors. He currently heads up external affairs at the North Sea Transition Authority, the Government’s regulator for oil and gas, carbon storage and offshore hydrogen. His role includes responsibility for communicating the organisation’s data and analysis in a complex and charged political environment.

Prior to this he fulfilled a similar role at the Environment Agency with a particular focus on the regulated water and waste sectors, and the Agency’s climate change communications.

Previously he worked in house at a political consultancy providing up to date intelligence to clients across the energy sector. Through these roles Rob has gained a broad perspective of the political debate and communication challenges in the energy sector.

The recipient of the 2018 SUT Award ‘Outstanding Contributions to Marine Energy’ and awarded Ocean Energy Europe’s Vi Maris 2019 award, Sue has a key role in the marine energy sector internationally. As a marine energy advocate, Sue brings her extensive experience to All Energy.
