Research Hub

The €283m INTERREG VA Programme is one of 60 similar funding programmes across the European Union that have been designed to help overcome the issues that arise from the existence of a border. These issues range from access to transport, health and social care services, environmental issues and enterprise development. Renewable Energy is a high priority within the Programme and the following projects have collaborated with All-Energy in a new Research Hub to highlight the successful academic and industrial initiatives:

  1. Renewable Engine (Renewable Energy and Advanced Manufacturing)
  2. SPIRE 2 (Storage Platform for Integration of Renewable Energy)
  3. The Bryden Centre (Advanced Marine and Bio-Energy Research)
  4. GenComm (Generating Energy Secure Communities through Smart Renewable Hydrogen)*

*Part of INTERREG NW-Europe

Also taking part in this new Research Hub are some other Programmes and Organisations involved in Renewable Energy in both Scotland, England and Northern Ireland:

  • The Energy Technology Partnership
  • CASE (Centre for Advanced Sustainable Energy)
  • REMS CDT (Renewable Energy Marine Structures)
