Ensuring our Transmission network enables the low-carbon future: A “PechaKucha” view of SP Energy Networks RIIO-T2 Plans

15 May 2019, 12:45 - 13:45

Lunchtime discussion: ‘Ensuring our Transmission network enables the low-carbon future’. A “PechaKucha” view of SP Energy Networks RIIO-T2 Plans #ChallengeOurPlan

Lunch will be provided in this session.

About this Event:

We have challenged our Transmission colleagues at SP Energy Networks to adopt a "PechaKucha" format to discuss key aspects of their plans for the transmission network for the period 2021 to 2026 aka "RIIO-T2".

Session Outline:

  • 12:45-12:50 – Introduction from Frank Mitchell, CEO, SP Energy Networks
  • 12:50-13:35 – 20x20 PechaKucha presentations (that's 6mins, 40secs each!) from our RIIO-T2 business-area leads as well as one of our external Transmission User Group members
  • 13:35-13:45 – QnA and group discussion*

*Further discussion welcome later this afternoon at the ScottishPower ‘Spanish Hour’ 3:15pm - 4:15pm at the ScottishPower stand.

After an inspiring first morning at All-Energy, you will no doubt be even more excited about the transition to the Whole System future and all it entails. As a Distribution and Transmission Network Operator we know that the network investment decisions we make now need to reflect the unprecedented changes that will enable this low-carbon, future energy system that current and future stakeholders want and deserve.

That’s why it is especially important that we clearly explain and get your feedback on what we will be submitting to Ofgem (the government regulator for gas and electricity markets in Great Britain) in our RIIO-T2 Transmission Business Plan later this year.
