15:15-16:30 | Electrical Infrastructure Research Hub (EIRH): Research and collaboration opportunities 
The EIRH is a new research hub which brings together the key expertise of Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult, the University of Edinburgh and the University of Manchester. Progress in the offshore sector is currently restricted due to issues with electrical infrastructure, be it reliability, affordability or the need to innovate for the future there are a swathe of emerging challenges which need to be answered coupling this with the change in the whole energy system and the disaggregation of the local energy system it is an opportune time to host this session. The 90-minute session is aimed at SMEs, OEMS, research funders and academics.
