Sean Watson is a PhD researcher at the University of Glasgow. Before he began his PhD studies, he graduated with a 1st Class MEng Civil Engineering degree from the University of Glasgow. His research focuses on the potential for deep geothermal energy in Glasgow and how it may be utilised through district heating to alleviate fuel poverty in the most deprived areas of the city. 

Sean is currently working as a research assistant at the University of Glasgow on an EPSRC-CESI project investigating the scope for repurposing onshore hydrocarbon wells in the UK for geothermal energy production and storage.
