Sector-Specific Trails

“I need to plan my visit to All-Energy in advance and make the very best of my time at the show.”

We’ve heard your requests and are pleased to announce a series of dedicated sector-specific trails at All-Energy 2012.

All exhibitors will be invited to join a trail – or trails – enabling visitors to pre-plan their route with advance access to trail maps, hence delivering a highly targeted and relevant audience direct to exhibitors' stands.

All trails are available for sponsorship, so get in touch with the team to discuss your needs.

Wave & Tidal

Highlights the exhibitors involved in developing wave and tidal stream technologies. The UK is widely recognised as a world leader in the development of wave & tidal technologies due to the abundance of resource around our shores. With our excellent wave and tidal resources, and our expertise in oil and gas exploration, the UK is in a unique position to benefit from this type of renewable energy – and to develop related wave and tidal services. The industry is still in its early stages however, and further research is needed to determine how best to exploit these.

Solar Energy

Highlights exhibitors displaying technology and services for the rapidly growing UK solar market. Feed-in-Tariffs mean people as well as businesses are able to sell the electricity their solar panels have generated back to the national grid. Germany, which currently leads the pack globally in PV, is cutting its Feed-in-Tarrifs (FITs) so businesses are looking to places with the better incentives, like the UK.

Onshore Wind

Highlights exhibitors involved in the onshore wind sector. Wind will be a key component in meeting the UK’s 2020 target for energy from renewable sources, and onshore wind could deliver around 15% of the total.

Offshore Wind

Highlights exhibitors involved in the offshore wind sector. The UK is currently the world leader in terms of installed offshore wind capacity and has been estimated to have over a third of Europe's total offshore wind resource.  This is equivalent to three times the electricity needs of the nation at current rates of electricity consumption; however, this is only at times when there are sufficiently strong winds blowing.

Bioenergy

Highlights companies involved in the bioenergy sectors - biomass, biogas and biofuel. The UK has a considerable biomass resource, estimated at an annual 20 million tonnes, which may be utilised as a source of renewable energy, including for small-scale heat and power production using a variety of waste streams, dedicated energy crops and forest residues.

Renewable Heat

Highlights exhibitors involved in the renewable heat sector. Renewable heat is an application of renewable energy and it refers to the renewable generation of heat, rather than electrical power. On 10 March 2011, the Government announced the details of the Renewable Heat Incentive policy to revolutionise the way heat is generated and used. This is the first financial support scheme for renewable heat of its kind in the world.

Investment

Large scale investment and financial support is necessary to reach the UK’s 2020 renewable targets. The Investment trail highlights companies offering investment services for the renewables industry.

Smart Energy

The Smart Energy trail highlights exhibitors displaying smart energy or energy efficient products and services. According to the International Energy Agency, improved energy efficiency in buildings, industrial processes and transportation could reduce the world's energy needs in 2050 by one third, and help control global emissions of greenhouse gases.

Low Carbon Transport

The low carbon transport trail highlights exhibitors displaying technology or services for the low carbon transport industry, which includes electric vehicles, biofuels, fuel cells and transport infrastructure. With greenhouse gas emissions from transport representing 21% of total UK domestic emissions, decarbonising transport is a major challenge for the UK.

Jobs

The jobs trail highlights exhibitors directly involved in areas of recruitment, education and research within and around the renewables industry, as well as companies with current employment opportunities interested in making new contacts.
