Looking behind the conference
There is a new urgency in Europe, and indeed the UK, as well as in the US to develop and implement sustainable energy solutions. This conference will catalyse thinking about hydrogen energy by identifying where business opportunities have already occurred, as well as offer clear business cases for new initiatives and present opportunities.
1. Aims of the conference programme
The conference aims to achieve the following:
- Overall Theme: Business to Business
- Participants will leave with:
- A sense of urgency in "getting down to business."
- An appreciation that the H2 and FC business sector is inclusive: role for both conventional fossils and renewables
- An appreciation of opportunities happening now, not the distant future
- Real world business cases to assist them in their own business planning
- Having met at least one colleague with whom they could do business with in the future
- The conference will not:
- Be an academic programme
- Debate details especially those which can be contentious
- The conference will:
- Illustrate European/US trading links European/world trading links
- Illustrate the value of regional coordination/leadership (i.e., SHFCA, MSHBC)
- Adjourn with a compelling vision or future scenario
2. Objectives
Deliver hard-hitting papers from leading industry authorities/practitioners to address the following.
- Practical public actions and implementation programs & recommendations
- Means by which US/EU; US/UK joint business opportunities can be encouraged
- Clear and compelling business cases for their initiatives - ideally minimizing or not relying upon subsidization
3. Programme
This is the seventh All-Energy exhibition and conference. The H207 programme has been added in response to participants from previous years, and will be particularly valuable to the following audiences:
- The existing hydrogen and fuel cell industry
- The existing renewable energy industries to show how H2 and FC can add value to their opportunities
- New and prospective organisations in hydrogen and fuel cells
- Government and policy advisors from Scotland, UK and EU
