The US and Europe Getting Down to Business -
Implementation of the Hydrogen Economy

All-Energy '07 will include the H207 Hydrogen and Fuel Cells 2007 Conference, 'The US and Europe Getting Down to Business - Implementation of the Hydrogen Economy',  spearheaded by SHFCAMSHBC and UKHA  and including a large H207 hydrogen/fuel cells pavilion.

SHFCA - The Scottish Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association - SHFCA - The Scottish Hydrogen & Fuel Cell Association - provides a one-stop point of contact with regards activities in research, development, and deployment of fuel cells and hydrogen technologies in Scotland. Though established in Scotland, membership extends beyond our borders with members from around the world. Our industrial members represent all key fuel cell technologies, while academic members are heading up ground breaking research in hydrogen and fuel cell technologies. SHFCA is the largest HFC association in Europe with currently 50 member organisations.

MSHBC - Mountain States Hydrogen Business Council.  Formerly the New Mexico Hydrogen Business Council, the NMHBC now facilitates business opportunities in New Mexico, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada and Utah among its member companies.  The Business Council also advocates for state and federal legislation that removes or mitigates barriers to commercialization for hydrogen energy.  While the membership includes several firms based in the region, several of its member activities are at least national if not global in scope.

The United Kingdom Hydrogen Association (UKHA) draws together an extensive network of industry stakeholders. Membership is open to companies, organisations and individuals with a commitment to increasing opportunities for hydrogen energy in the United Kingdom.

Stakeholders in the production, storage, delivery, or use of hydrogen or hydrogen technologies are welcome to join. The UKHA creates the setting for mutual support and information exchange among industry, government, and research/academic organisations. For more information about the United Kingdom Hydrogen Association, please go to www.ukha.org

On Thursday 24 May at H207, the United Kingdom Hydrogen Association (UKHA) will present the fruit of their first year in operation (in the Quick Fire Business Presentation session – see conference programme). The UKHA was created in May 2006 to span sector boundaries, provide a strong national voice on hydrogen energy, engage government, and drive the UK hydrogen economy. This will be the public unveiling of the document, which represents a consensus position of the UK hydrogen energy sector. It is fitting that this first public announcement should take place at H207. The two-day conference demonstrates the growing interest in hydrogen energy technologies in the UK. The document has been developed to be a clear and concise representation of the UKHA views on hydrogen’s role in a low-carbon energy mix in the UK, and will be made available to decision-makers in the government and private and public sectors.

H207 is endorsed by Fuel Cell Europe; The National Hydrogen Association; Hydrogen Energy Network (H2NET); Fuel Cells UK; and the European Hydrogen Association.
