Andrew Boroughs, Managing Director, Organic Energy Company (UK) Ltd
Andrew Boroughs founded the Organic Energy Company in 1999 to provide information and products to manage and reduce energy consumption using sustainable and renewable sources. In 2003 he realigned the Company concentrating on heat for Low Carbon buildings. In searching for fully automated pellet appliances he met Herbert Ortner, the founder of ÖkoFEN. He teamed up with ÖkoFEN and has been their partner in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland since then. His was one of the first Companies to introduce pellet heating to the United Kingdom.
Werner Dietl, Project Development and Area Sales Manager, AE&E Austria GmbH & Co KG (AE&E)
Werner Dietl was born 1956 in Vienna, Austria and graduated the polytechnic institute (TGM) in the field of electrics and Vienna University of economics with regard to export sales trader.
Since 1977 he is working for AE&E and the predecessor companies. In the late 80th and in the 90th he was responsible for power plant projects in South-East Asia.
From 1997 up to 2002 he was commercial senior sales manager for AE&E’s steam turbine department. The market for this product was Europe and Asia.
Since 2002 he is active as project developer, commercial project manager and as area sales manager for Austrian Energy & Environment’s business unit energy with its main focus to biomass power plants. The European Community is AE&E’s main market for the biomass power plants using fluidised bed boiler technology. The advantage of this technology is that various kind of biomass can be used in multi-fuel applications such as for example wood chips, chicken-litter, rejects from pulp & paper industry.
